Provincial Examination

Write the government exam in class. Must achieve 80 percent to apply for an Alberta Security License.

Alberta Licensing Requirements

To enroll in the ABST course and apply for your license, you must meet the following provincial prerequisites.

Canadian Citizen or Legally Entitled to Work

Fluent in English (Canadian Benchmark Level 5)

Clear Police Information Check

Not a current member of police, sheriff, bailiff, or collection agency

Provincial Licensing Fee
$100 CAD

Paid directly to the Government of Alberta when you submit your security worker licence application. This fee is separate from your course tuition.
